About Us
Established in 1998 by three clinicians
whose collective goal was to provide mental
and behavioral health services to at-risk
children and families with limited resources
in their local community.
SMHC provides an alternative to traditional
therapy and psychiatric services by
creating an environment that nurtures the
child, affirms the adolescent, and empowers
the adult and family.
Traditional and non-traditional services are
offered in a variety of settings – school,
home, community, (4) Suncoast Mental
Health Center locations and/or telehealth.

HIRING NOW
Mental Health Therapists
Full-time Mental Health Therapists must be knowledgeable in the following clinical areas: screening, intake, orientations, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, report and record keeping, discharge planning, and consultation with other professionals in regard to client/treatment services. Some local travel is required.
Targeted Case Managers
Targeted Case Managers are responsible for ensuring their clients have all resources deemed necessary and appropriate for the client to participate in mental health services fully. In this regard, Targeted Case Managers are expected to be proficient, knowledgeable, and responsible for linking and connecting clients and their families to the services indicated in the client’s service plan. As determined by the Targeted Case Manager, services will be provided to clients in the office, home, school, or environment in which problems arise and where issues occur.
